Three Nabbed On Long Island With Loaded Firearm During Traffic Stop

Three people were charged on Long Island for alleged criminal possession of a weapon following a traffic stop.

The arrests took place in Baldwin around 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, on Cheshire Drive.

According to Nassau County Police detectives, officers spotted a 2007 Nissan Altima with a defective headlamp on Cheshire Drive, and conducted a traffic stop.

During the stop, a loaded semi-automatic pistol was located inside the vehicle. Numerous credit cards, debit cards, and scanning devices were also recovered from inside, Nassau County Police said.

 The driver, Jacob Nolen, age 18, Detroit, Michigan; rear passenger, Jordan Lopez, age 19, of Baldwin and the front passenger, a 16-year-old female juvenile, were all placed under arrest, police said.

All three were charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. 

Additionally, Nolen was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal possession of forgery devices.
